3 Reasons I Dominate With Gameloop
Why am I using Gameloop?
As an avid gamer, I want to enjoy some of the latest games that are available. Sometimes that is not easy because my hardware is not high-end. In fact, it’s pretty inexpensive (notice I didn’t say “cheap”). My laptop/tablet is a $400 low-end device that will not for the life of me, allow me to play Warzone, can barely handle PUBG (the splash screens lag), and cannot, will not play the new Call of Duty: Vanguard. My mobile devices are not much better, meaning COD Mobile and PUBG Mobile are laughable, laggy things that make me want to throw my devices out of the window.
But hey, at least I can play Fortnite on PC and mobile Legends: Bang, Bang on mobile. I got that going for me, right?
Fortunately, I found another solution in Tencent’s Gameloop emulator. For those of you unaware, an emulator is a program that “mimics” other hardware. I use them for console gaming, primarily (but that’s not the point). Gameloop allows me to scratch that Call of Duty itch from the comfort of my dorky laptop using my mouse and keyboard. I’ve been able to achieve a high rank and numerous victories whenever I play…which, I gotta say, is awesome. I’ve also failed a lot, too…
Yup, that’s me failing miserably. I guess I was either distracted or too gosh darn excited to play. Either way…embarrassing. Now I know what you’re thinking…
Gamers that use emulators are cheating!
Let’s agree to disagree for a moment. Remember that I mentioned that I can’t play COD Mobile with my mobile devices? Gameloop is the only way I can enjoy the game in a way that is not only convenient for me but is also less expensive. I can’t afford to spend the hundreds necessary to get one of those fancy contract phones (They’re practically $700!) or expensive tablets (No I will NOT be buying an iPad, thank you very much.) so this is the only this is the best way I can enjoy the game.
With that said, let’s address the whole “emulator players are cheaters” debate. Have you looked in Target or Walmart lately? Heck, even online websites are endorsing external controllers and mice-keyboard rigs for mobile gaming. Not only that, but COD Mobile has support for Bluetooth controllers, too! Knowing all of this, why would a company like Tencent create software that allows you to use these “external” peripherals to play their games?
Here’s another nugget of thought: After you log into the game, the main screen splashes a message on the top that reads “You are using an external device. You will be paired with other players using external devices”. They did this deliberately so that there would be some means of fairness when playing. Of course it would be too easy for a player using a mouse and keyboard to get 360’s and snipe mobile players using touch controls, seriously.
Game over man. Game over.
While the jury is still out over the validity of mobile players using Gameloop and external controllers, the fact remains that the players that cry foul over this probably aren’t that skilled to begin with…or are just jumping on the “cheater” bandwagon. That’s pretty much the bottom line here. Mobile players using touch are annoyed by mobile players using external devices and emulators due to the so-called unfair advantages those players have. They say it takes all of the fun out of playing, but I disagree.Gameloop’s opened up a whole new door for me to play…and play I will. I’m pretty sure that once I’m able to afford one of those top-of-the-line devices, I’ll play with touch controls, too…and lose a lot, too. That is until I practice enough to increase my skills. Until that day comes, if you’re a COD Mobile player on Gameloop or using external controllers, watch out…I’m coming for you.
See you on the battlefield.
